By The Mist

When I awoke this morning I could tell, even before opening the blinds, that it was a cloudy day and I couldn't help but smile a small smile. If I had to choose one reason why I love living in a beach city I would probably pick the weather. I love being greeted in the mornings by a world shrouded with fog that slowly burns away as the sun rises higher and warmer into the sky.

Today I decided against slipping back into bed after Nate left for work, and instead pulled on my sweater and my moccasins to take advantage of my morning off of work in this misty, magical world. I first stopped atop the bluff near my apartment to see what I could make of the city (which was nothing), I then spent a lovely two hours by the shoreline, stuffing my pockets with rocks and seashells to add to my  massive, ever growing collections.

By the time I was back home my once straightened hair was turned into a frizzy poof by the mist. Worth it? Yes.
